“It is fair to say that this Organisation is one of the most positive environments experienced by the Assessor, in terms of staff morale, commitment and teamwork. This is evident consistently throughout the Organisation.”
As assessor testimonies go, this has got to be one of the most glowing - Cànan underwent a highly successful Investors in People re-recognition process in late January, and the report, received last week, makes impressive reading.
IiP Scotland’s assessor noted in her report that she had not identified any development areas for Cànan following her visit, but that doesn’t mean the company will take things easy until we next go forward for re-recognition in 2009.
Cànan’s Chief Executive, Donella Beaton, and the board of directors are taking steps to make sure new planning and reviewing processes are put in place to drive the company forward to even greater levels of success.
Donella Beaton said: “The results of our IiP re-recognition report underline what Cànan’s philosophy has been all along – the company’s most important asset is the staff. By investing time and money to give them all the chance to enhance existing skill sets and develop new areas of expertise, both individual and company will benefit.
It would be too easy for Cànan to sit back and not worry about the outcomes of this IiP report until the next re-assessment, but we’re committed to making sure we don’t slip on our efforts and commitments. That way, we hope to ensure the company is in even better shape going forward.”
